I was clueless about Clueless

Originally from California, I am not sure how this adorable movie slipped through the cracks of my movie lists. Clueless is absolutely adorable. The low stakes comedy, easy laughs, and bold acting make the rom com a pleasure to watch. Though I don’t often review rom coms, they are definitely one of my favorite kinds of movie.

“As if!” is a phrase that still carries just the right amount of indignation and sass. Watching the Beverly Hills teen prance around LA is a unique pleasure that makes a ritzy life look like so much fun.

“What? I totally paused.” Cher says after running a stop sign. The movie’s title plays really well into the overall message of the film, that Cher is clueless about life. Innocence is bliss. Until it’s not. Clueless plays with this idea in a funny and timeless way. How a movie from 1995 can have such a lasting legacy on the world shows the magic of this film.

So if you are like I was and you’re clueless about Clueless. Go watch it!! Please.
